Recreation Plan
The Nottingham Township Recreation Plan and Sherwood Park Master Plan provided the Township with a vision and a set of recommendations for updating Sherwood Park to meet the needs of a changing demographic. The Plan detailed a Master Plan with specific projects and actions to occur over a 10-year period to improve accessibility to many of the park’s existing amenities and to introduce new amenities.
As part of the planning efforts, extensive community outreach was completed through surveys, interviews, and public meetings. The feedback was essential in understanding the program and park activity needs from the community
Strategic Solutions assisted the Township in completing and submitting applications to various funding programs. Nottingham received a grant from DCNR to implement the Plan’s recommended enhancements.
